 Möönlight Tales: TAMBOURINE Dialect FCBD Style with Kalindy 

? 9.10 Sunday at 4:00-6:00 pm CET (Warsaw time)
Level: intermediate in FCBD Style, open with a prop

? We are going to learn the key concepts, skills and tips to incorporate tambourine into your FCBD®️ dance in the most organic and comfortable way. We will be holding the Möön in our hands, making it dance around us, learning to maintain the shapes and lines that its circular shape offers us, turning it into an extension of our body during the execution of slow and fast steps.
We can not forget that we have a musical instrument in our hands! FCBD®️ Style fast vocabulary gives us a great opportunity to play with it and the music. How do our fast movements complement the different sounds and beats of our tambourine, without losing the stylization? Let’s dance, let’s find out. It’s time to hold the Möön and keep the rhythm!

? What’s the Möön Dialect? ?
Kalindy’s tambourine study pattern, stylisations and adaptations for FCBD®️Style, Dragonfly Format, Devi Mamak, SuperBeth (Tamarind), SirenProject inspired moves, and Kalindy’s own repertoire! This pattern is specially and specifically based on a particular and exhaustive stylization of the tambourine during the execution of each movement, and this is the magic difference between the Möön Dialect and the act of dance with a tambourine in hand, even if looks fun and entertaining.
The Möön Dialect is currently divided into two volumes. Vol1 <<in crescendo>> based on the official repertoire of the FCBD®️Style. Vol 2 <<Tarara>> based on other flavors, movements and inspirations.

? About Kalindy ?

From the age of 5 to 20, I studied classical ballet, modern dance and tap dancing taking official R.A.D and I.S.T.D. exams.
I had a break of several years due to various personal issues. During this time, I tried others styles such as flamenco, afro dance and Fusion Bellydance. I got to know the pure FCBD Style about 8 years ago, I fell in love completely and I felt that it totally fit my tastes, way of being and lifestyle, wondering how could it be that I had not known it before?
I began to study the style in a self-taught way with videos offered on Datura Online, until my first FCBD Style teacher and future partner of the group of which I am a part, Dahlia Tribal, arrived on the Island.
I trained with her, Anna Sollini, and at the same time I continued my education and training by attending face-to-face workshops with teachers such as Kristine Adams, Phillipa Moirai, Gudrun Herold etc, while training with Carolena Nericcio’s online videos. The Dahlia Tribal troupe was soon consolidated, we worked very hard on our classic FCBD Style as well as the incorporation of props such as the sword, basket, skirt, tambourine… and we began to perform at many events on the Island. Later, we also attended as guests to some national and European events and later we performed at international online events during the pandemic.
I have been teaching FCBD Style at a school on the island for 5 years, forming a group of students and friends that I am very proud of, La Bohêm Mayurka.
During the pandemic I decided to take advantage of the time and take my training to the next level. I started my online training with Devi Mamak and Siren Project focusing mainly on Fan Dialect.
During this time, I also wanted to evolve with the Tambourine dialect and bring to reality all the ideas and concepts that were going through my head. It was the time and that is where the Möön Dialect began to take shape. After a lot of work, the first current online courses and training came to light and there are already many dancers from around the world beginning to incorporate this dialect into their dance. In the last year, it has become known among dancers from France, Germany, Spain, Canada, the USA, and Taiwan.
In recent years I have been creatively restless, incorporating new concepts and more modern flavors to my dance, opting for a more accentuated flamenco and electronic influence.
