Do you want to try a definitely new prop? To dance with it in your hands and balance it on your head?
Maria will welcome you in her pot world! Dances with pots and vessels go deep in their roots, let’s dive into some traditions and get a folk vibe during these introductional workshop series. You will learn how to pick your pot, how to balance it on your head and use it in the floorwork, will study the main slow and fast movements from the vocabulary and try to improvise with the pot – solo and in a group.

PART 2 – Dancing Pot Performance Project
During this part of the intensive you will immerse in the beautiful process of staging the group performance, especially for the Hamsa Summer Show edition, by the direction of Maria Fomina.

FCBD®Style dance experience is required! Dancers should be familiar with the Level 1-3 dance vocabulary & formations & be ready to work on the team costume concept. (Maria performs with the students at the show with the dance piece they’ve prepared together)

Maria Fomina is the FCBD®Style Certified Studio and FatChanceBellyDance® Style University instructor, internationally well-known dancer and coach from Kyiv, nowadays based in Warsaw due to the Russian invasion of the territory of Ukraine, but continuing to share her great 18 years teaching experience and art. She works professionally with a lot of different props to enrich the dance style and created her own intensive course „Prop Pro’, as well as her own attitude and developing her formats.
Maria collaborated with lots of great artists, was awarded for the development of the style, and produced many dancing projects as well as the biggest international festival in Ukraine „Tribal Weekend”.
